Three police units in Negros Occidental will receive awards as model provincial police office, city and municipal police stations in Western Visayas, for year 2009 on Feb. 10 at Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office bagged the award as model provincial police office, San Carlos City police station as best city police station, and E.B. Magalona police station as model municipal police station in the region.
Senior Supt. Manuel Felix, Supt. Harold Tuzon and Chief Inspector Samuel Mina, chiefs of NOPPO, San Carlos and E.B. Magalona police stations, respectively, will receive their awards at the PNP founding anniversary on Feb. 10 in Iloilo.
Director Ray Roderos, chief of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations-Visayas, the guest of honor and speaker, will assist Chief Supt. Isagani Cuevas, regional police director, in the presentation of the awards.
NOPPO topped the performance evaluation rating among nine major police units in Region 6, for four consecutive quarters of 2009.
The San Carlos and E.B. Magalona police stations also topped the performance rating among city and municipal police stations in Negros Occidental last year, police records also showed.
