San Carlos City and Hini-garan Police Stations topped Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) first quarter performance evaluation rating (PER) for 2010.
PCInsp. Jefferson Descal-lar, NOPPO’s acting spokesman said the San Carlos City Police Station, the Best City Police Station for 2009 and headed by PSupt. Harold Tuzon emerge number one in performance with a rating of 94.71% for the months of January, February and March.
Following San Carlos are police stations in Kabankalan City with 90.98%, Bago City (89.90%), Escalante City (89.83%) and La Carlota City (88.10%).
Meanwhile, Hinigaran Police Station bagged the top place in the municipal category, and bested 2009’s Best Municipal Police Station, EB Magalona PNP with an average performance rating of 87.32% among 19 other municipal posslice stations in the province.
Moreover, Toboso Police Station followed in second place with a rating of 86.69% while Manapla (86.61%), Murcia (86.60%) and EB Magalona (86.59%) followed closely in that particular order.
The Negros Occidental Provincial Public Safety Management Company (NOPPS-MC) led by PSupt. Norberto Boston took the 19th place overall among the 32 police units in the province with 85.31% rating.
San Carlos and Kabankalan Cities topped the Police Community Relations (PCR) rating with 157.16% score.
San Carlos City Police Station also emerged on top in the fields of operations, intelligence, investigation, human resource, logistics and personnel, reports said.
PSSupt. Manuel Felix, NOPPO director urged all police chiefs to improve on their ratings on various directives from higher headquarters and not only for compliance but in initiating impact projects in their respective localities that would help the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the maintenance of peace and order in the province, it added. *
