An informant who had helped policemen in the arrest of the number one most wanted person in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, yesterday received P10,000 as cash rewards from Rep. Julio Ledesma IV, police chief Supt. Harold Tuzon said.
Teodoro Pardillo, alias Tibor, who has three pending arrest warrants for the crimes of murder, frustrated murder and violation of the Commission on Elections gun ban, was arrested yesterday by a joint team of San Carlos policemen and operatives of the Regional Intelligence Unit 6 at Magsaysay Street in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City.
Tuzon said Pardillo was tagged as the gunman in the fatal shooting of Concepcion Gonzales Lerio and caused injuries to Jason Ibanez, both employees of the San Carlos Drug Testing Center, at the Centermall in San Carlos City in January 2007.
Police investigations also showed that the shooting incident stemmed from business rivalries.
Pardillo was denied bail by San Carlos Regional Trial Court Judge Katherine Go for the murder charges, police records show.
The identity of the informant whose information led to the arrest of Pardillo, has been withheld for security reasons.
